Inspired Reverence

May 18, 2018

“They will be my people, and I will be their God.  I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them.  I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.  I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.”

– Jeremiah 32:38-41

As a child of the Most High God, you are called his people!  What an honor that is!!  Yet the Lord also wants to give you singleness of heart and action… He wants you to have an undivided heart that is completely devoted to him and his plans for your life.  The Lord calls us to this deeper level walk with him because he desires every single one of his people to constantly revere him for their own good and for the good of their children!  How Great is our Heavenly Father!!  He only wants to do good for us!  He is not out to harm us in any way, instead, he desires to make an everlasting covenant with us that will never fade away throughout all eternity!  Even the Lord proclaims that he will never stop doing good to his children and on top of that he will Inspire his children to revere him so that they will never turn away from him!  How Awesome is that!!  How Awesome is Our God!!  He is Absolutely Amazing!!!  There is no other god that will do that!  There is no other god that cares about you!!  The Lord goes on to say that he will rejoice in doing good to his children!  Now that is the very heart of a Father we all need!  We all need a Heavenly Father who Rejoices over doing good for us!  That kind of love can only come from our Lord God Almighty – nowhere else!  And the Lord also wants to plant you in the land with all of his heart and soul!  He wants to see you through to your eternal inheritance with him and firmly plant you in the land he has created just for you!  What promise we have in this inspired reverence of our one and only true God!
