From Pit To Palace

So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.”  Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger.  He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.  He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and men shouted before him, “Bow the knee!”  Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.

Can you believe that Joseph was once thrown into a pit by his brothers, sold as a slave to Potiphar, and then put in prison?!!  Joseph had to experience a lot of difficult things in his lifetime and be put in many rough places before God could promote him to a higher level!  Joseph went from being stuck in a pit to sitting in a palace, from being sold as a slave by his brothers to being Pharaoh’s right-hand man, from having his robes stolen from him to being dressed in robes of fine linen, from being held in prison to being put in charge of the whole entire land of Egypt!  Even during the roughest places of Joseph’s life, the Lord God never left his side!  The Lord’s favor was upon Joseph wherever he went.  So today, if you feel like you are stuck in a pit or a prison right now, just know that with the Lord God on your side, you will always have his hand of favor upon you no matter where you are in life!  And just like Joseph, the Lord your God will bring you from the pit to the palace!
