Weak Before Wise

“Brothers, think of what you were when you were called.  Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.  But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.  He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.  It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.  Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.'”

Do you feel weak in this world?  It seems like everyone in your life is much more superior to you and treat you like dirt.  They are never sitting on the edge of their seat waiting to hear you speak, but they shut you down as soon as you open your mouth.  They are never lined up at your front door inviting you to come to their get-togethers, but purposely write you off and count you out.  They reject you, despise you, ignore you, and forget about you.  Well there is someone who has not forgotten about you… his name is Jesus and he Loves You Immensely!  God has chosen to use those things which the world has discarded and thrown away- he has chosen YOU!  More specifically, God has chosen you to shame the very ones who persecute you… the “so-called” wise, strong, influential, and superior ones in this world!  The Lord has called out and set apart for himself what is foolish, weak, and lowly by human standards in this world to prove to everyone that he is real; that whatever is done by the weak can only be done through his power so that no man can boast or take credit for it!  In accepting Jesus Christ into your heart you have received the Supreme wisdom of God, higher than any other wisdom; which is your righteousness, your holiness, and your redemption!  How Amazing is that!! How Awesome is our God!!!  If you feel weak today, don’t give up, just know that the Lord is going to use you to do Extraordinary things for him when you follow through with the calling he has on your life.  So if anyone should boast about anything, let him boast in the Lord!
