God Doesn’t Live In Man-Made Temples

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.  And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.

– Acts 17:24-25

WOW!!  Isn’t this scripture POWERFUL?!!!  How Great is our God?!!  He does not dwell in temples made by human hands!  He is much BIGGER than the boxes we try to force-fit him in!  How many times do we fall for the common cliche that we have to be in a church building in order to BE the The Church?!  How many times do we have to fall for the mass deception that the only place where we can find God and feel his presence is in a church building?  A church building is just what it says!  It is Only a building!  It is Only a man-made, human built, temple!  And the Apostle Paul said it so perfectly…  The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and he does not live in temples made by human hands!  Come on!  If the Apostle Paul, one of Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) main disciples who was appointed by him to preach the gospel to the Gentiles could write this scripture, then why do people continue to fall for these lies from the enemy?!!  It is clearly written in scripture!  Anyone can pick up the Bible and read it for themselves!  The fact of the matter is that God does not dwell in temples built by human hands because he now lives inside of us!  When we come to believe in Jesus (Yeshua) and we are filled up with the Holy Spirit, that is the Spirit of God living on the inside of us!  That means we do not have to go to a church building to BE The Church because we are now The Church due to God’s Holy Spirit living and dwelling on the inside of us!  How is it possible that many missionaries who go to foreign countries all over the world witness the MOST Incredible amount of Miracles from the Lord God, where these people are dirt poor and have Absolutely Nothing – not even a building to meet in?!  It’s because the Lord is not confined to a building!  God is living on the inside of these missionaries through the Holy Spirit and he is spreading his Holy Spirit to people everywhere these missionaries go, showing up in the poorest places to prove that he is BIGGER than all the boxes we put him in!  The reality is that God does not need anything from us!  He does not need to be served by human hands!  God gives us life and breath and everything else!  What does he need from us?  He created us with his very hands!  He is the God of ALL creation!  So today, if you are still stuck in this cliche, just know that God does not live in man-made temples because he wants to live inside of YOU!
