Lifted Up

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

– James 4:10

Does it feel like you have been walking in pride for a while?  You have gotten your focus off of the Lord and now when you pray to the Lord it seems like you are not hearing him speak!  You desperately need to hear from the Lord because now things are getting hard in your life and you need answers.  What do you do now?  You wonder if the Lord is even listening to you!  Just know that the Lord is still listening to you!  He is listening to all your cries to him!  He has not left you!  Yet, the Lord wants you to learn a valuable lesson and that is… you can’t do anything without him!  The Lord wants you to constantly be focused on him and realize that you need him all the time!  When we are walking in pride and selfishness, it is easy to get our eyes off of the Lord and what he wants for us.  That is why the Lord desires for us to be humble!  The Lord encourages us through this verse of scripture in James that when we choose to humble ourselves before him, then he will lift us up!  He will not keep us in this place of no response when we truly humble ourselves before him and seek his face!  Humble yourself before the Lord and let him lift you up today!
