Losing The World To Gain Christ

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.  What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ – the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.

Does it feel like you have lost All things in this world to run after the Lord?  You have lost family, loved ones, friends, your high-paying job, your high status in society, your reputation, your accolades, your dreams for your life… all to live to glorify the Lord who made you!  Now all you want to do is serve him with all your being!  You consider all that you have lost in this world complete rubbish compared to gaining him because he IS your treasure!  You have found Jesus (Yeshua), the lover of your heart, who IS your life!  Whatever you have given up has meant nothing compared to all that you have gained in Yeshua!  You have found your new life and identity in him and it is Wonderful!  Living your life to please the Lord rather than pleasing people has freed you from your chains and set you free from a yoke of bondage!  No longer having a righteousness of self, you now strive to find the righteousness of God through faith in Yeshua.  In him you have received your freedom!  In him you have gained your life!  In him you have discovered your identity!  In him you have found your purpose!  In him you have obtained your Joy and there is no turning back!
