Not By Might, But By The Spirit

So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

– Zechariah 4:6

Today, are you living off of your own might, your own power, and your own strength?  You keep going through life toiling and striving so hard to do things all on your own that it seems like you never have a moments rest or peace!  You have forgotten what it is like to sit back, relax, and allow God to do things for you!  Yet that is precisely what the Lord God desires to do for you!  He actually desires for you to be dependant on his strength, power, and might rather than your own!  The Lord God wants to bring you into a place of rest so that you do not get burned out!  You see, when we are able to rely on God’s strength, might, and power, then the Lord constantly renews our strength like the eagles so we can soar even higher!  The power does not reside in us, rather the True power is found in God through his Holy Spirit!  When we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us and we allow it to take full control of our lives, then we are choosing to be led by God!  And when we allow God to take the reigns in our life, then we are leaning on his ability, not ours…  All we have to do is be obedient to what God tells us to do through the Holy Spirit and he does the rest of the work!  The Lord God wants you to come to the point where you finally realize that the only real way to live is not by your might, nor by your power, but by His Spirit!
