One Greater Than Moses

Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.  For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.  Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, testifying to what would be said in the future.  But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house.  And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast.

There are many Jewish people today that recognize and honor Moses for leading their ancestors out of captivity in Egypt during Old Testament times, however, they forget to recognize Jesus (Yeshua HaMashiach), their TRUE Messiah!  The New Testament is typically viewed by many Jewish people as being irrelevant and it has been hotly contested by many devout Jews in Judaism.  Yet, if the New Testament is completely irrelevant, then why would Moses be mentioned in it at all?  On top of that, why would Moses be spoken of in such a manner in Hebrews, foretelling what is widely prevalent today in modern Judaism??  The reality that many Jewish people do not want to accept is that the New Testament holds validity and in this very passage of scripture in Hebrews we read that Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, was found more worthy of Greater honor than Moses!  Just as the builder of a house has Greater honor than the house itself, so God has placed is faithful son Jesus over His house where Moses was a faithful servant within.  When people begin to view Moses as the builder of the house, giving credit and honor to him instead of God, they easily forget that God is the builder of Everything!  And if God chooses to put His son Jesus over His own house, then who are we to stop Him?!!  Who is this house…?  We are!  We are God’s house!  And if we are God’s house, then who do we want to be over us?  Moses or God??  I should hope that we would want God over us, not a fallible mortal human being!  Additionally, since God has placed his son Jesus over His house, then that means God has placed Jesus over us!  Now we have One over us who is ALIVE and Much Greater than Moses!  We have Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, our One True Messiah!
