To All Who Are Thirsty

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!  Come buy wine and milk without money and without cost.  Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?  Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.  Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live.  I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.”

Are you looking for Jesus?  Are you hungry for his Truth?  Are you thirsty for his Righteousness?  You’ve run down every last road in life just to find that there is nothing there.  You’ve spent all you have chasing after meaningless things that all amounted to nothing!  You have nothing to give.  Nothing to bring.  Nothing to offer.  All you have is a broken shattered heart, wounded from all your past afflictions.  You labor, but to no avail; no food seems to satisfy!  Nothing can heal your wounded heart!  Your soul is the driest cistern wandering everywhere just looking for one drop of water, but nothing!  Can you hear Jesus calling out to you today??  He is saying, Come!  All you who are thirsty… Come to the waters!  You who have no money… Come buy and eat!  Come to him and buy without cost!  It is absolutely free!  Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?  The bread is the Word of God and what satisfies is Jesus!  Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.  Listen to Jesus and his words and he will supply your every need!  Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live.  Listen to Jesus and his words and your soul will live, not perish!  I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.  The Lord will make an eternal covenant with you that will never end- the same love he promised to his servant David!  Come, all you who are thirsty!  Come to Jesus today!
