You Are God’s Temple

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?  If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred and you are that temple.

– 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

Isn’t it Awesome that God calls you His temple?!!  Yes!  Your body is God’s temple if you have God’s Holy Spirit living inside of you!  How AMAZING is that?!!  That is Absolutely Incredible!  It’s astounding that God Almighty, the Creator of the entire Universe and Everything in it, desires to live and dwell inside of us!  Yet that also means that when we accept God into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, there will be a HUGE transformation that takes place!  God is going to clean you up from the inside out!  It might be gradually over time, but ever-so-surely God is doing is imaculate work inside of us!  And trust me, he is the only one who can get all the junk out!  He is going to be taking out all the trash, repairing a lot of things that are broken, and wiping you spotless!  The only way the owner of the house (God) can stand to live inside of you is if he does a continuous U-haul make-over until all that remains inside you is him!  Yet one thing is for sure, if anyone tries to destroy God’s temple, which is your body, God himself will destroy him!  That is how much you matter to God!  God’s temple is sacred and YOU Are that temple!  Do you see how important you are to God?!!  You mean everything to him!  You are priceless to him!  You are sacred to him!  So don’t let anyone convince you that some man-made building is more important than you, because that is not at all where God resides…  God lives in you through the Holy Spirit!!  YOU are God’s temple!
