The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
– Hebrews 10:15-18
Did you know that part of this scripture in Hebrews written in the New Testament is actually written in Jeremiah 31? In this verse of scripture the Lord God is promising his children that he will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah which will not be like the same covenant given to their forefathers whom he led out of Egypt by the hand because they were unfaithful to him and did not keep his covenant. This New promised Covenant God made with his people was prophesied in the book of Jeremiah to be fulfilled in the future! And this is what the Lord their God promised… He promised them that he would put his law in their minds and write it on their hearts! God also promised his children that he would forgive their lawlessness and would remember their sins no more! Hallelujah!!! Yet what many of God’s children do not realize is that the book of Hebrews mentioning this prophetic verse from Jeremiah was written after Jesus (Yeshua) paid for our sins on the cross, ascended to God in heaven, and later sent his Holy Spirit to his Jewish disciples! Now it is the Holy Spirit (God living on the inside of us) who testifies to us that we have entered into this New Covenant through Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, our Messiah! And what once had to be repeatedly atoned for by sacrifice has now been forgiven Forever through the precious blood of Yeshua, the everlasting and perfect sacrifice! Amen! Now God’s law is not just written on tablets of stone, but it is written on our hearts and our mind so that we can remember it forever through the Holy Spirit! Rejoice!!! For you have been given an everlasting covenant of heart and mind!
