“…Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of sonship.  And by him we cry “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.  Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

Do you know that if you believe in Jesus and have received him into your heart by the Holy Spirit, then that makes you a child of God?!!  That means you have been adopted into  God’s family and are now a part of the royal bloodline of Jesus Christ!  How Amazing and Exciting is that?!!!  The Holy Spirit is not your proof of slavery or bondage to fear, it is your proof of sonship!  With the Holy Spirit we are freely able to cry out to our Abba, Father at any time!  The Holy Spirit confirms that we are God’s children and if we are God’s children, then we are also heirs of God and co-heirs with his son Jesus Christ!  Can you believe that?!!  You have an eternal inheritance awaiting you in heaven when you believe in Jesus and are filled with the Holy Spirit!  Go ahead and rejoice in what the Lord has done for you and the glorious inheritance that you have received through the Holy Spirit!
