But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by steams of water, which yields it fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.  Whatever he does prospers.

It is Amazing to know how the Word of God IS Life!  And David, filled with the Holy Spirit, wrote that those who meditate on God’s Word day and night are like a tree planted by streams of water!  You know, it’s an interesting analogy that David made about those who dwell in God’s Word because it suggests that the Word of God is like streams of water to a thirsty tree!  Thus, we are Refreshed by the Word of God and it is what keeps us ALIVE and keeps us thriving… bearing fruit in season and having leaves that Never wither!  The Word of God is also Truth!  Thus, we can know for certain that the fruit that we bear will be Good fruit!  And what is even more POWEFUL is the last thing that David mentions about those who dwell in the Word of God day and night…  Whatever they do Prospers!  WOW!!  That just goes to show that those who stay in the Word and the Word remain in them will Prosper!  But why??  Is it because of anything that we have done or deserve??  No!  You see, the Lord wants to prove to you that he is your source of prosperity!  He is the one who bestows favor on those who love him and his words!  To delight in God’s Word IS to delight in Him because he IS the Word!  Are YOU a tree planted by streams of water??
